*Disgrace*

I prayed for my spouse to love me again every day.He left me and entered the arms of another after spending fifteen years with me.I was unable to cope. I was unsure about my value. I had no idea how I would get by without him at my side.I only wished for him to return to me.Jackson Emery then showed up.He was meant to divert my attention. a summer romance. a boost of self-assurance for my wounded heart. We both knew we wouldn’t last, so we were ideal for one another. I had given up on love, and Jackson had no concept of loyalty.

I was too wounded for him, and he was too closed off for me.Everything was good until one night when my heart began to race.He made me giggle, something I wasn’t expecting. to get me to reflect. to at least partially numb my sadness. My heart was unable to part when our time was up.I begged for my husband to love me again every day, but with time, my prayers started to turn more and more toward the wrong kind of man. I asked for just one more touch, kiss, grin, laugh, or smile… I asked God to make him mine.even though I was aware that his heart was not meant for love.

*About the author*

Since the day she breathed her first breath, Brittainy Cherry has loved words. She earned a bachelor’s degree in theater arts and a minor in creative writing from Carroll University. She enjoys participating in screenwriting, acting, and dancing—of course, terribly. She believes that everyone should consume coffee, chai tea, and wine! Living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is Brittainy. She presumably spends her free time playing with her gorgeous animals when she’s not running a gazillion errands or writing books.
