The innovative idea of Bintu Nakudu that is transforming agriculture into high-tech farming with zero carbon footprint has turned the spotlight on the agricultural sector which was considered, “difficult to manage” in a country like Nigeria.
Magestik farm is one of the largest greenhouse farms in Nigeria. It is a subsidiary business under the Nakudu Group and is founded by a young Nigerian, Bintu Mohammed Nakudu.
Nakudu group is a diversified conglomerate, with interest in multiple industries that indicate their determination to cater to their vision of providing basic needs. They have established themselves in the hospitality, manufacturing and agricultural sectors in Nigeria. Their vision is not limited to these areas, and due to their passion for growth, they are constantly expanding.
In the Agricultural sector, they are on a mission to ensure healthy and safe farm produce for consumers using their subsidiary businesses:
Majestik Rice Mill:
It has been able to release a number of bags of rice annually and sell them to distributors and consumers. Aside this, the company also produces the following by products from its rice mill;
parboiled rice
- Sortex
- Broken rice
- Brown powder
The above are the main by-products produced by the company. These by-products serve as important sources of raw materials.
Majestik Yogurt:
The company engages in the sale and marketing of dairy products especially yogurts and fresh milk for wholesale or retail purposes. It is a standard and modern farm, it uses its facilities and production processes to produce hygienic milk and provides consumers with milk and dairy products made with natural unfiltered milk. The source of this milk is raw milk from healthy cows. The company has established its independent distribution network to meet nationwide needs.
The Majestic Farm is founded on a mission to revolutionize agriculture, it stands as a beacon of modern, eco-friendly farming practices. Bintu Nakudu believes the farm is not just an agricultural venture but it is a sustainable, innovative and socially responsible community.
In the Majestik farm, about 1,000 crates of eggs are produced on a daily basis which equals to 30,000 crates of eggs (9 million eggs) per month. It is fully automated and 90% of this process is done without human intervention. They also have a 45,000 birds capacity in the house and over 30,000 fish farming capacity.
In the Greenhouse, high quality and nutritious feeds are produced for both poultry and fish, reducing their reliance on external sources.
In promoting a sustainable future, the company ensures that nothing is wasted and everything is recycled for better use. Also, the farm is powered entirely by clean, sustainable solar energy, reducing carbon footprint to enhance safer security measures.
