Southern African Development Community (SADC)
The SADC Protocol on the Inter-State Transfer of Sentenced Offenders establishes a framework for transferring sentenced persons between SADC Member States so that they may serve their sentences in their home countries or other appropriate jurisdictions. It sets out procedures and conditions governing applications, consent, transfer, administration of sentences and cooperation between participating states.
