Rwanda Law No. 071/2024 of 26 June 2024 Governing Persons and Family

This law establishes Rwanda’s legal framework on matters concerning persons and family. The official publication is a 302-page law that governs the legal status of persons and family relationships, bringing these subjects together within a single legislative framework. It replaced the earlier law governing persons and family and entered into force upon its publication in the Official Gazette Special of 30 July 2024.
