Rwanda Law No. 058/2024 of 20 June 2024 Governing Non-Governmental Organisations

This law establishes the legal framework governing non-governmental organisations in Rwanda. It addresses the organisation and functioning of national and international NGOs, including their registration and legal status, governance, rights and obligations, and the regulatory framework applicable to their activities. The law also reviews and replaces earlier legislation governing national and international non-governmental organisations. The official text records that the Chamber of Deputies adopted the law on 30 May 2024, and it was subsequently promulgated and published in the Official Gazette Special of 19 July 2024.
