Public Procurement Amendment Bill (B7-2026)

The Public Procurement Amendment Bill, 2026 proposes amendments to the Public Procurement Act, 2024. Among other changes, it addresses debarment procedures, procurement policies, sustainable development objectives, set-asides and prequalification criteria, subcontracting requirements, local production and content designations, the Public Procurement Tribunal and exemptions from certain procurement provisions. It also proposes consequential amendments, transitional arrangements and the repeal of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act, 2003.
