Protocol on Trade in Services
Southern African Development Community (SADC)
The SADC Protocol on Trade in Services establishes general obligations concerning the treatment of services and service suppliers from other SADC State Parties. It provides a regional legal framework for cooperation and the progressive liberalisation of trade in services, with negotiations covering sectors including communication, construction, energy-related, financial, tourism and transport services.
