Prevention of Illegal Eviction from and Unlawful Occupation of Land Act 19 of 1998

This Act provides legal protections against unlawful eviction and establishes procedures that must be followed when seeking the eviction of unlawful occupiers. It replaced older legislation and introduced a framework intended to balance property rights with constitutional protections and human dignity.
