The Pan South African Language Board Act 59 of 1995 establishes the Pan South African Language Board and provides for the recognition, implementation and furtherance of multilingualism in South Africa. It also supports the development of previously marginalised languages and gives the Board functions relating to language policy, language rights and multilingualism.
