Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Act, 1989 establishes the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board to administer a centralised admissions system for universities, polytechnics and colleges of education in Nigeria. The Act contains provisions concerning the establishment and membership of the Board, tenure and removal of members, its functions, the power of the Minister to give directives, the Registrar and other staff, the Board's funds and expenditure, annual estimates, accounts and audit, annual reports, regulations, and the repeal, savings and transfer of liabilities and staff.
