Nigeria's Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2007. Act No. 31

The Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2007 provides a framework for the prudent management of Nigeria's national resources and the promotion of long-term macroeconomic stability. It establishes principles for fiscal responsibility, accountability and transparency in government fiscal operations, provides for the Medium Term Expenditure Framework and establishes the Fiscal Responsibility Commission to promote and enforce the nation's fiscal and economic objectives.
