The Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015 establishes Nigeria's legal and institutional framework for preventing, detecting, investigating and prosecuting cybercrimes. It addresses the protection of critical national information infrastructure, cybercrime offences and penalties, duties of financial institutions, investigation and enforcement powers, jurisdiction, extradition and international cooperation.
