Nigeria’s Medium-Term Debt Management Strategy, 2024–2027 sets out the Federal Government’s approach to managing public debt during the period. Prepared by the Debt Management Office with relevant government agencies, the strategy examines the Federal Government’s existing debt portfolio, macroeconomic and market assumptions, sources of financing, alternative borrowing strategies, and targets for debt sustainability, refinancing risk, interest-rate risk and foreign-exchange exposure. The strategy was updated using the approved 2025–2027 Medium-Term Expenditure Framework and the 2025 Appropriation Act to reflect prevailing economic conditions.
