National Veld and Forest Fire Amendment Act 13 of 2023

This Act amends the National Veld and Forest Fire Act, 1998, by revising definitions and strengthening provisions concerning fire protection associations. It provides for municipalities and traditional councils to facilitate the formation of these associations and requires specified public bodies that own land to join them. It also expands certain enforcement powers and changes the principal Act's title to the National Veldfire Act.
