The National Food Safety and Quality Bill, 2022 proposes a regulatory framework for protecting consumers from hazards in food and animal feed. It provides for the official control of food and feed safety, the obligations of food and feed business operators, food safety principles, risk assessment and management, traceability, food recalls, laboratories and the responsibilities of relevant Federal and State government institutions.
