National Development Planning (System) Act, 1994 (Act 480)

The National Development Planning (System) Act, 1994 establishes the legal framework for coordinating development planning across Ghana. It sets out the planning responsibilities of district authorities, regional coordinating bodies, ministries, and other public agencies. The Act also addresses the preparation and review of development plans, public hearings on proposed local plans, community participation, and the coordination of district priorities with national development objectives.
