The Land Reform: Provision of Land and Assistance Act 126 of 1993 provides for the designation of certain land, the subdivision of that land and the settlement of people on it. It also establishes a legal framework for government involvement in acquiring, planning, developing, improving and disposing of property for land reform purposes, as well as providing assistance connected with land reform.
