Convention on the Rights of the Child

The Convention on the Rights of the Child establishes international standards for the protection and fulfilment of children's rights. Adopted by the United Nations in 1989, it covers civil rights and freedoms, family relations, health, education, protection from exploitation, administration of juvenile justice and other measures concerning children's welfare and development.
