Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (Alteration) Bill, 2025

This Bill proposes to amend section 14(2)(b) of the 1999 Constitution to make the security and welfare of the people the primary responsibility of all levels of government and public institutions. It also proposes that this responsibility be justiciable, giving citizens a constitutional basis to seek legal enforcement of the government's duties concerning security and welfare.
