The Consolidated Text of the SADC Treaty brings together the original 1992 Treaty and subsequent amendments, including amendments adopted through 2024. It sets out the establishment and legal status of SADC, its principles and objectives, membership, institutions, cooperation arrangements, financial provisions, immunities and privileges, dispute settlement, sanctions, withdrawal, amendment procedures and other provisions governing the regional organization.
